The State of Ohio’s data platform team, in partnership with Avaap, supports dozens of state governmental agencies, with 1000s of different data sources. Each agency has its own systems and access controls. Skill sets, use cases, and technical infrastructure vary widely between these agencies.

To support this decentralized and highly variable organizational structure, Avaap recommended moving to a common data platform that was easy-to-use and would support any data source and infrastructure environment, on-prem or in the cloud.
