Run Data Collector from Docker

All users can run the Data Collector image from Docker Hub.

When you run a Data Collector image from Docker Hub, you have different authentication options depending on whether you have an enterprise account or use StreamSets Accounts:
Enterprise account
Users with an enterprise account typically use Control Hub authentication after registering the Data Collector image with Control Hub.
If the Data Collector image is not registered with Control Hub, you can configure Data Collector to use a different authentication method.
Using a different authentication method requires providing an activation code, unless you choose to use StreamSets Accounts.
StreamSets Accounts

Users who do not have an enterprise account must register with StreamSets Accounts and link Data Collector to the account.

Data Collector uses StreamSets Accounts single sign on authentication, by default. You can configure Data Collector to use a different authentication method. You might change the authentication method to allow other users to share access to Data Collector.
