We are thrilled to announce that after months of hard work and preparation, StreamSets, Inc has officially obtained its first ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification and fourth SOC 2 Type II report!
ISO 27001 is one of the most internationally recognized standards for information security management systems. By achieving ISO 27001 compliance (as well as ISO 27017, and ISO 27018), StreamSets have demonstrated that we have rigorous security practices and policies in place to protect customer data.
Likewise, SOC 2 defines criteria for managing controls placed in operation and test of operating effectiveness based on the “Trust Service Principles”. Earning SOC 2 certification confirms we meet the gold standard for proper controls over security, availability and confidentiality of customer data housed in our StreamSets Platform and StreamSets Control Hub.
The Journey to Compliance
Getting accredited with both ISO 27001 and SOC 2 was no easy task. We subjected our platforms, systems and organizational policies to intense auditing and review by reputable third-party auditors.
The auditors thoroughly evaluated the security infrastructure and control environment of our SaaS platform and internal systems over a period of months. They assessed hundreds of control objectives to validate that our security practices meet all the required criteria for ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
